The purpose of this website is to promote awareness of direct democracy in New Zealand. Direct democracy has the potential to act as a much needed check on the influence of wealth in our political system. It provides stable, consistent rule making in countries that currently practice it. Its does not require a revolution.
We intend to demonstrate the feasibility of direct democracy by building this website into a decision making and advocacy platform for the issues New Zealanders decide are important to them.
We are entirely member funded and run. Our accounts are publicly available. All content is published under users' real names. All user names are verified before content is submitted. Any content ranking algorithms are user configured. If there's anything else you'd like to know please contact us.
